I think mixed rescues are bad enough for lurchers, let alone a breed like a saluki :-/ This pure saluki boy is at RSPCA middlesborough- http://www.rspca.org.uk/allaboutanimals/pets/rehoming/petsearch/details/-/Pet/MATTHEW/ref/26613/rehome/. For a breed like a saluki I don't trust a rescue like the RSPCA at all to know their specific needs and behaviours e.t.c. But because I posted about him on Lurcherlink Ann and denise at saluki welfare are now involved and trying to move him over to them, and I'll find out if anything happens. I'm so pleased he has this chance, please keep your fingers crossed they can prize him away!

Hopefully welfare manage to get him out of there sooner rather than later, I don't hold out much hope though.

Just had a look - poor fella. He looks a little lost. Their descriptions says "He likes other calm dogs and cats" er..My salukis used to like cats too...but I think too many of them could be bad for their tummies.

:lol1: Working mum... nice one :D Brilliant news though on this boy. Saluki welfare amazingly have persuaded the RSPCA to had him over. In a couple of days he'll be in the best place possible for him. :D I'm so glad it worked out.
