This interesting thread seems to have died a death :lol1: I have just taken on a well bred coursing pup and fully intend to rear him and enter him to coursing when he is old enough (next season), he will be entered at the same time as my Saluki pup who is 5 and a bit months at present.

My intention is try to get a first hand comparrison of both types in the field on the chosen quarry, hopefully with the right amount of dedication and effort they will both come good and comparisons can be drawn, hopefully both dogs will be tested to the hilt and come tyhrough with flying colors.

atvb Richard

p.s. I will post up some pics of my new pup soon and also some updated ones of Nero

rich, thats exactly what i am doing with my lot, i am interested to see how:
1st my saluki whippet grey (tink) compares to my saluki whippet collie grey (sky),
2nd how the above dogs compare to my little whinging saluki (trix) when hes old enough, obviously not on stamina when running against sky as she is more whippet and burns out after a while but more on the style of running.
although tink will of had a few more runs as im running him in feb. he wont of done much so by the time december next year comestrix should of had a few runs too which i feel should even it up on their knowledge of the game :)
oh and when you fancy a look out mate?? anytime soon?? if it too far for you il come to you if youwant?

She is a lovely bitch, not unlike many of the Saluki X's here in the UK.

Interesting that she is feathered, she obviously is a second generation cross.

Regards

Mark
