i.m very intrested in this topic, does anyone have an idea which lines were best for coursing single handed? I saw two dogs in salukis photo. Is this how they coursed them within clubs as similar to greyhounds. |

In the clubs it is mostly doubled up. for a start there are a lot of members who want to run a dog and if it was all single handed most wouldn't get a run and unlike the fens most of England isn't over run with hares, with two dog running on each hare twice as many dogs get a run. When there was no club meets small groups in different parts of the country would get-together to run their dogs mostly single handed, and i would think most would say a good saluki was one that could catch and not the one that scores the highest points. |

As with lurchers its the ones off lines that produce the highest number of top workers. |
