Oops. Got so upset I forgot to mention the reason for the post. Seems, other than through a licensed broker or some other authorized entity which I forget, but which translates into either lots more money at best, or impossible at worst. And as of today, no international US flights will accept dogs as cargo. From what I gather, this includes already bought and paid for bookings, like those planning on attending Crufts.

Ignore the last 2 posts regarding importing dogs to US. Even if it turns out to be accurate, I should have done my own research first. I can find nothing about it on either gov't or airlines sites. ov

Have you managed to find anything out about this?

If there is any truth in it it is nothing short of shocking!

Nothing, Mark. Something leads me to believe it is not true. But I will be calling the airlines (cargo dept responsible for the live cargo shipped) myself. No way it wouldn't be all over the dog lists by now, if true. So, let's hope! ov

That is going to going to drive import costs up. It is more expensive to go through an agent or authorized shipper than for the breeder to ship the dog to you. Plus you will have broker costs, and from what I hear that is around $300-500. Ridiculous. I wonder if they are going to hold the rescue groups who bring dogs in from other countries to the same rules.

Agent's can afford to up the prices as well knowing that people must use them if they wish to import or move their animals.
