Most Borzoi I've seen were really narrow this would effect their agility. I'm sure there are a few Borzoi folk in the US that keep good working lines. Might be worth making some equiries. 'Sevendogs' on here has good Taigan contact in Kazakhstan that might be an option for you. I am hoping to get a Taigan from Russia next year, I would not be able use the Kazakh contact due to me needing to bring the dog in via Pet Passport to avoid Quarantine. You would have no such troubles. |

Are they Malamutes? I've never seen a white one. Are they good hunters? My mother has a very large Siberian (probably getting more towards malamute size) and he is a real hunting machine and takes everything from Mice and Birds to Foxes and Deer. Do you work them in Harness? |

yeah the white one is half giant malamute :) both are inuit dog mixes, its rare to see a full breed in my town of inuit dogs now adays. just a couple of weeks ago they teamed up real good on catching an arctic hare, they used a technique where one follows the other and if the hare turned the dog behind would be on it right away. they never caught a caribou yet a cause when they see a caribou from about a kilometre away they don't even try to stalk it, they just run right for it :P but im workin on that. i am starting to let them run on a harness while i just get dragged on a snowboard for now. later i want to start a bigger team and use them to hunt and bring back the prey on a sled. |

Lol at them just running at the Caribou, you definitely need a sighthound, but a robust one. Especially for the Caribou. A good taigan would likely be able to hold the Caribou at bay (they do this with Ibex in Kyrgyzstan) long enough for you and your big dogs to get there and assist. |

The taigans are not very fast when running straight, but they are much more agile than most other sighthound breeds. |
